the group of six artists initially got together in september 2008 as part of their studies at royal holloway, university of london. they devised their first piece in january 2009, as part of their ATP (Advanced Theatre Practice) practical dissertation course of their 'Drama and Theatre Studies' degree at RHUL. through drawing together their collaborative skills in theatre, dance, movement, live art, photography, multimedia and contemporary performance - "Would Like To Meet" was born.

after "WLTM"'s debut at the Royal Holloway's Boilerhouse complex, non zero one received some funding from the Drama Department's "Enterprise" grant scheme. with this money non zero one took "WLTM" to Southwark Playhouse for four days as part of the theatre's "Secrets" programme. this gave the young company their first taste of adapting a site-specific piece to another venue for a new audience.

non zero one are currently developing new work and seek further funding.

they welcomed Thom Curtis on board as their website consultant in august 2009.
